Tip #1: Avoid easily breakable pieces
The only thing worse than losing figures you take on a trip is breaking them. To avoid hang-ups you should try to avoid figures with pieces that might break easily. An example of this are Dead Master's wings or Madoka's hair.
Similar to the breakable pieces tip (and yes these are all common sense) if your figures has protruding hair it can also be at risk of snapping off while in your suitcase/bag. Also here's a little bit of Figure Head Swap Friday as Lynette and Azusa rock the Madoka outfit.
Tip #3: Be weary of loose pieces
Any figures with pieces you can easily lose should also be questioned. For example I can't tell you the number of times I've almost lost Aldra's spike on trips.
Tip #4 Less is More
It's much easier to pack a few figures rather than a lot. So I narrowed it down to these 4. Yuki, Killua, Sayaka and Strength all are really easy to carry due to their designs.
I decided to bring Killua and Strength ultimately (for a mix of badass and crazy).
I recommend when packing figures to start with plastic bags. When I carry figures I like to bag the figure with a normal plastic bag and then place them in a 2nd bag (usually their figma bag).
After bagging your figures I would also recommend storing them in a separate bag that you can keep from having a lot of weight placed on it. One of the perks of bringing figures like Killua or Strength is that with no protruding parts they're less likely to break if pressure is placed on their bag.
^because I'm not thinking of all the reasons why not
Now I'm not saying to avoid bringing your favorite figures on vacation with you! I'm simply saying that some figures are easier to carry than others, and that no matter who/what you bring for your adventure to be careful! I may only post sporadically for the next few days, but I'll try to keep in touch. Thanks for dropping by!
